First Holy Communion 

Here is everything we need to know for our First Holy Communion. 

We are making our First Holy Communion in May 2019.. how exciting!

Ms Kerr's, Ms Walsh's and Mr D. Kelly's - Saturday 11th May at 11am

Mr Dunphy's and Ms Califf's - Saturday 18th May at 11am 
 

1. Mass Responses 

We must know our Mass Responses. We should practice these regularly over the next few weeks. The best way to practice these is to go to mass as often as we can!  


​2. Prayers Before and After Communion 

We need to know both of these prayers.

Prayer Before Holy Communion
Lord Jesus, come to me.
Lord Jesus, give me your love.

First Holy Confession 

Here is everything we need to know for our First Holy Confession.

What we need to say: 

When you go up to the priest:

  • Make the Sign of the Cross

Then say:
  • Bless me Father for I have sinned.
        This is my first Confession.
        I did not show love when.... and when....and when...

The priest will ask you to say the Act of Sorrow:

O my God, I thank you for loving me.
I am sorry for all my sins,
for not loving others and not loving you.
Help me to live like Jesus and not sin again .
Amen
