We used the tablets and the National Geographic Kids website to research information about Orcas. We used this information to write a report about this amazing animal.
Collaborative Art 29/11/18
We worked together this week in Art. We liked working together and we are very proud of our masterpieces.
S.T.E.M. Week Quiz 2018
We took part in a quiz all about Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths with Mr Dunohy's 2nd Class, Well done to the winning teams.
Discover Primary Science Workshop 23/11/18
We took part in a workshop about Forces during S.T.E.M Week in our school. S.T.E.M. stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. Thank you to the amazing team from Discover Primary Science for such an interesting and enjoyable workshop.
Maths Team Teaching 2018
We are really enjoying Maths Team Teaching. We love working together in groups to practice our maths through interactive games and activities. We also like to stand up and report back to the class at the end of each session and talk about what we learned. Thank you to our wonderful Team Teachers who make this possible! :)
Bench Ball 14/11/18
We have been working on our throwing and catching skills in P.E. over the last few weeks. We enjoyed playing Bench Ball to practice these skills.
Halloween 2018
We all put a lot of effort into our costumes this year. Ms. Califf barely recognised us!

We used an app called "Quiver" to bring our colouring to life in 3D form. We were amazed to see the fireworks jump off the page and to see our pumpkins come alive.
Kahoot Tablet Fun: Maths 19/10/18
We used Kahoot (a quiz game) on the tablets to revise everything we learned in Maths since the start of the year. There was great excitement as you can see!
Autumn Leaf Art Art 17/10/18
2D Shape Hunt Maths 16/10/18
We went searching for 2D shapes in our classroom. We found lots of circles, rectangles, squares, triangles, ovals and semi-circles.
Mindfulness World Mental Health Day 10/10/18
We enjoy taking time out of our busy school day to practise mindfulness. One way of practising mindfulness is by colouring in Mandalas. Mandalas help to bring us peace and calm while also improving our concentration.

Sam Maguire Cup 03/10/18
Today we got to see the Sam Maguire Cup in school. Some of us are hoping that Louth will win it next year, while some of us are hoping that Meath will! Who knows!
Friendship Week 01/10/18
This week for Friendship Week we are eating our lunch with Mr Dunphy's class so we can make friends with other boys and girls in 2nd class.
Stop the Clock Maths 25/09/18
We enjoy playing Stop the Clock to practise our Tables. This week we are working on +4.
Pablo Picasso Art 21/09/18
We created Self-Portraits inspired by the work of Spanish painter Pablo Picasso.
Our School Garden Science 18/09/18
Today we explored our school garden. We identified and described a variety of living things in the garden. We explored the soil, rocks, grass, twigs and plants. We did not find many bugs but we were lucky enough to find a ladybird!
Circle of Friends Religious Education 17/09/18
Our class - a Circle of Friends. We made our own circle of friends and learned the song 'Circle of Friends'.

We were very busy working on our self-portraits this week. We think they look great!
What is Soil Made of? Geography 13/09/18
Today we investigated a sample of soil from our school garden. We talked about how soil is a habitat for living things. We also talked about the importance of washing our hands after playing in the garden!
